Gay, Lesbian Workers Increasingly At Home In the City

LONDON—Two years ago, Ashley Steel would have told you the City needs to do more to make gay people feel more able to be themselves.
But the openly lesbian board member from accountancy company KPMG Europe LLP thinks a lot has improved in recent years. "If there is anyone in the City who is still gay and not out, my strong advice is they should come out and get on with and be themselves," says Ms. Steel, 50 years old.
