MoveOn.org is launching a new campaign to fight Target Stores and other corporations who are thinking about taking advantage of the recent Citizens United decision. Although Target has received a lot of heat lately from the Gay community, this spot doesn't talk about MN Forward's support for an anti-gay candidate. It focuses mainly on corporations buying our elections.
"Target’s refusal to acknowledge its customers’ outrage at their attempt to buy elections is scandalous,” said Justin Ruben, Executive Director of MoveOn.org. “Americans have spoken: we don’t want corporations meddling in our democracy. Corporate money in elections is nothing more than political bribery and we’re not going to stop targeting Target until they stop trying to buy our elections.”
